Insulated Home Gym Watford
A robust insulated garden building in Watford converted into a private home gym — engineered flooring, ventilation, and full thermal performance for year-round training.
This Watford client wanted a dedicated training space at home — somewhere to lift weights, use a treadmill, and stretch without taking over a spare bedroom or disturbing the rest of the household.
We designed an insulated garden building with reinforced sub-floor construction to support heavy equipment, rubberised gym flooring throughout, and a mechanical ventilation system to manage humidity and air quality during intense sessions. Dark composite cladding gives the structure a purposeful, contemporary presence at the end of the garden.
Thermal performance was a priority: full insulation to current building standards, double-glazed units, and underfloor heating ensure the gym is comfortable even on cold winter mornings. The result is a private, well-ventilated space that feels like a proper facility rather than a shed with equipment in it.
