Garden Studio Ware
A versatile garden studio in Ware used as a yoga and wellness space — calm interior, natural materials, and a building designed for movement and mindfulness.
A yoga instructor in Ware wanted a dedicated practice space at home — somewhere to teach small classes, practise alone, and retreat from the busyness of family life. The garden offered the seclusion and connection to nature that the brief demanded.
We designed a studio with full-height glazing on the garden elevation, bringing views of mature trees and planting into the practice space. Natural timber cladding inside and out creates a warm, organic atmosphere, while a sprung bamboo floor provides the right surface for movement.
The building includes a small changing area, storage for mats and props, and a ventilation system that keeps the air fresh during classes. Underfloor heating ensures the studio is warm enough for floor work even in winter, and the insulation specification keeps running costs modest despite the generous glazing.
